I was referred to Dr. Mates from another practice after having trouble with my left ankle. After 2 MRI'S and a diagnostic shot, he finally figured what was wrong with my ankle. Dr. Mates was thorough and compassionate. He didn't give up and I don't need another unnecessary surgery. I felt like he really cared. The staff is the best also. Very upbeat and caring. Easy to get appointments and check in and out are easy. They always have a smile. You can't go wrong with Florida Joint Care Institute. I feel lucky and blessed to have had such a great experience and great doctor as Dr. Mates.

Dr Mates gives quality time with his patients and explains everything in detail. Very pleased with initial visit. He preformed surgery for my elderly mother years ago and recently referred him to one of my neighbors for their sons broken foot and were also very pleased.

The staff here is very kind, thoughtful and very friendly. It felt like home! Dr Cook did an excellent job on my knee. I am still going to therapy to get my range of motion back, I feel confident that Pedro will get me right where I need to be. He is an excellent therapist and I was glad I was assigned to him when my therapist went on vacation. All the therapist seemed kind and professional and seem to really enjoy their jobs! I recommend Florida Joint Care institute to anyone looking for a good Orthopedic Institute. I began my journey with this at a much larger practice and I’m really glad I made the switch!

When I first met Dr.Mates after severely breaking my ankle I was a nervous 69 year old woman, afraid that I would never be able to walk normally or be independent again. But he gave me options and hope. He did surgery and it has been a steady road back to walking and my normal independence. I highly recommend Florida Joint care Institute. It is a wonderful group of people who care.

The staff, excepting the medical staff, offer the worst patient service I have recently experienced. I placed a call to schedule a much needed appointment. After remaining on hold for a full 15 minutes, a recording instructed me to leave my name, number, etc. for a return call. After 2 hours, no call. I once again called to schedule the appointment and after approximately 6 minutes, a live person picked up and, after a brief wait to "verify my insurance", I was able to schedule. I have had several procedures performed at the Institute in the past 5 years and I must say, this is not uncommon treatment from this staff.

Great staff and very efficient! Only reason for the 4 rather than 5 star is on my second visit during chk out, when attempting to speak with the surgery coordinator, the young lady offered no help in a rude manner...and the rehab center upstairs is lacking. Dr Hanff was awesome, replaced my hip and it feels great. Walking same day, no walker after day 2, driving on day 6 and back to work in 6 weeks! Being a flight Paramedic, I appreciate Dr Hanff's quality work!

I have nothing but praise for Florida Joint Care Institute. First of all, the facility is beautiful, easy, safe access for all. The staff is welcoming, well-organized, professional in every way made my 2nd visit as pleasant as the first. Dr. Jennifer Cook has impressive, impeccable credentials. She was highly recommended by a close family friend. She listens, cares, & thoroughly discussed my issue with me. Dr. Cook is truly an amazing doctor. I trust her completely. Dr Stephan Hanff did a total hip replacement on my sister. He has been touted as “one of the best” in his field. I agree, after seeing his work first hand, but also his humility and caring with my sister. His joy comes from seeing his patients able to function in a whole new way and the big smiles on their faces. Thank you Dr Hanff.
